In 2020, a group of young visionaries are drawn to a mysterious oasis in the high desert. They create an extraordinary self sustaining Village using the best of ancient and modern technologies. They flourish.
However, internal conflict in America results in disaster when a pulse bomb destroys the entire electrical grid of the Western United States, throwing it back into the dark ages. The Village has their own solar power systems and remains unscathed.
In the the years to come, bands of ferocious City Nomads are drawn to the oasis and attack, wanting it for themselves. They are repelled at much cost.
In 2040, the Village is overrun by its enemies, who occupy it for several years, driven to create their own version of utopia. They are unable to stabilize and kill each other of. New Tribes move in, later joined by some relatives of the original founders.
The Village must evolve rapidly as the world changes around them. Biological pollution unleashed into the air from Eastern cities alter the environment, creating astonishing mutant strains of life.
INHABITANTS MAY CHANGE BUT THE LAND REMAINS THE SAME.
Utopia 7 is a Production Company situated in Joshua Tree on 90 Acres of pristine Mojave desert. Located 125 miles away from Los Angeles, it retains a permanent infrastructure and standing film sets that can be incorporated into multiple productions.
